Inspired by Hawaiian legend, the Awaiku were guardian spirits or messengers and bearers of healing power. To us, the dragonfly (Pinao in the Hawaiian language) represents transformation and the connection between water, earth and sky. We love to see the pinao in our gardens and waterways reminding us that we can transform our bodies back to health by using herbs, flowers, and all that nature provides

We use all-natural and organic ingredients in our skincare products, including essential oils, seed and nut oils, and plant extracts for natural coloring.  All ingredients and products are cruelty-free.

Our products are suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.  

All of our products, except those that contain tallow or honey, are vegan. We believe in using only quality ingredients from trusted sources that are gentle on both your skin and the environment.

Let's Talk Tallow.  

Specifically, grass-fed leif tallow is a powerhouse of nutrition supporting the body in a variety of ways, as well as having many uses in daily living.  Leif tallow is high in Vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K.  It contains choline and fatty acids (Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), oleic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, and linoleic acid.  Combined, these nutritives are essential in promoting skin hydration and well-hydrated skin is healthy skin.  Hydrated skin is more elastic -- boosting skin’s primary purpose -- to keep the good stuff in and the bad stuff out!  Tallow is excellent for protecting skin from external pollutants, as well as, being an excellent carrier for essential oils and botanicals.   

Why grass-fed?  Tallow is the fat that surrounds the kidneys of cows, once refered to as 'liquid gold' and an important, and treasured, product before industrialized farming became the norm.  The optimal health of the cow ensures a quality product, which is why grass-fed is so important.  We clearly understand, in this day and age, that using clean, pure, unadultered, natural ingredients in our body is as important as what we put on our body.  The skin is our largest organ and it has an important job of protecting our inner organs and all of our other jewels from external environmental factors.  Tallow is excellent for a varitey of skin conditions including rosacea, psoriases and ecsema.  

Magnesium is a mineral that has numerous benefits for overall health and well-being.  We once bathed and swam in rivers, streams, and springs that ran clean and unadulterated absorbing the essential minerals through our skin.  Our skin drank in the mineral-rich waters.  Of course, we drank from these sources as well.  Perhaps using magnesium creams have been so soothing and healing for so many people beacuse it addresses what is lacking in todays culture of bathing in water that has been chemically treated and sterilized.
